Ministry of National Defense issued a press release to clarify the case of “a staff of a teashop, Changchun Branch, in Neli wore an Army casual wear to attract consumers.” (July 11th, 2018)

Regarding the news spreading online, “a staff of a teashop, Changchun Branch, in Neli wore an Army casual wear to attract consumers,” Ministry of National Defense claimed today (11th), the staff, without being approved by the Ministry, who wore an Army casual wear with the badge of a Colonel to attract consumers had severely damaged the reputation of the Army, and the Ministry therefore expressed the solemn protest. Regarding the staff who had committed the criminal law Article 159, “Public Use the Clothing of Civil Servant,” the Ministry would collect the evidence to file a criminal complaint so as to ensure a correct understanding and make it as an example.

Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the military uniforms symbolize the protection of the country. Without being approved by the Ministry, the uniforms shall not be allowed to use for personal or group purpose. We expect the public to continue to support the National Army and defend its dignity together.
